It's good to be home! We took the 101 instead of Interstate 5, because it's less boring and takes the same time to our house. It also avoids the grapevine, which I had heard required chains. Since I have single-use, fabric "chains", I'd rather not use them just to get out of LA...
The drive was straightforward and without incident. When we were in Oxnard Suzanne noticed that there was a Krispy Kreme Donut shop, so we got some for the road.
